I just want to advice anyone who plans on playing this to get a spare battery or two, maybe a power bank to have on hand. I have a Samsung Galaxy s5 and I am able to play the game about 2 hours total or straight before needed to change it. I have a lot of apps going and text a lot so I am sure it will last longer for others.

Keep in mind the more you stop and start up the game, the quicker your battery life goes down. It is using your camera after all so it is going to suck the life from any phone.

Tell me about it, I can just about get through a day whilst playing now and then.
    Might get a battery bank.

DO IT! I could not live without having one now. I actually have 3! I make sure no matter where I go, I can always access my phone. I play a lot of games and now with Pokemon Go taking over my life, my poor battery gets so much abuse!

I have a few spare batteries I always have with me. Even before this game. I am just always on my phone and let me tell you, the Galaxy s3 don't handle battery life too well. I need to upgrade LOL

Oh damn, yeah that phone is really old now. No reason not to upgrade given how cheap a decent phone is.
