[[Critical Catch]] is a [[mechanic]] in [[Pokemon Go]]. It is a random occurrence that guarantees that the [[Pokemon]] is caught. During the Critical Catch animation, the [[Poke Ball]] immediately drops to the ground, only shakes once and a burst of stars appears and 4 rays of light leaving upwards in a zig zag motion. 

*Critical Catch was introduced in 2/16/2017 with the release of [[Generation 2 Pokemon]].
