Stardust is a Power Ups Item. It can be acquired from  ==Acquired By==*Successfully catching a Pokemon or hatching one (100 stardust each) *Hatching a Pokemon from eggsegg *You can also obtain them by Defending a Gym. If you have placed a Pokemon to defend your team's Gym , you can collect a Defender Bonus of Stardust and PokeCoins every 21 hours. The more Pokemon you have defending Gyms, the greater Defender Bonus will be (100 500 Stardust each timeper Gym). Your trainer  ==Used For==*Power Up Pokemon, increasing its CP and HP *Evolve a Pokemon to its next form ==Checklist Before You Spend Stardust on a Pokemon==1. Make sure your Pokemon is worth training in the long run. Consult tier lists. You don't want to spend 100k stardust on a Beedrill, only to realize that even though it is a 3rd evolution Pokemon, it still kinda sucks harder than a Hypno. 2. As you are farming Pokemon Candies for your favorite Pokemon, keep track of the IVs of every Pokemon you catch that is worth training. Use an online IV Calculator tool. 3. Once you have enough Candies evolve it to the max step, feel free to evolve the Pokemon with the highest IVs. I personally only train Pokemon with 90% IV or higher (unless it's a top-5 Pokemon and has at least a decent 75%), but it doesn't really matter much. Honestly, feel free to skip the IV check if you want. The difference between a super low IV Pokemon and a super high IV Pokemon is typically about 10% of the maximum CP. 4. Check your max-evolved Pokemon's moveset before you train it. Some max evolved Pokemon have really bad movesets; others have only decent or good options. If you tried to be get a Vaporeon but ended up with Water Gun + Water Pulse, it's probably best to find another 25 Eevee candies and try again. However, if you get an "unideal" levelDragonite 10 or higherGyarados moveset, it's still probably a pretty strong set regardless
