How to Track Pokemon with Sightings

Method 1

1. 1 Choose your target Pokemon.
2. Start walking in any direction.
3. When the Pokemon disappears from Sightings, you've found Point A.
4. Turn around 180 degrees and walk the other way. The Pokemon should reappaer in Sightings list within 15 to 20 seconds. Keep doing until it disappears again and mark it Point B.
5. Turn around again and go halfway between point A and B, mark this point as Point C.
6. Turn 90 degrees to the right or left. Walk until you either run into the Pokemon or until it disappears. If it disappears, turn around 180 degrees and around until you find the Pokemon.

Method 2: 3 Point Tracking

This method is useful when you cannot walk in straight line due to terrain difficulties.

Theorem: 3 non-colinear points on the plane uniquely defines a circle.

Application: To track a spawn point, you can find any 3 "boundary points" where the Pokemon goes in and out of the nearby list, and visualize where the center of the resulting circle is. Any 3 points will suffice.
