*The size of the [[Targeting Circle|targeting circle]] changes constantly. Throw the Poke Ball when the circle is small and you will have the best chance to successfully capturing the Pokemon.
*The color of the targeting circle indicates how difficult it is to catch that Pokemon. Green is easiest, yellow harder, orange is even harder intermediate and red is the hardest. You might want to use better [[Poke Balls]] such as [[Great Ball|Great]] or [[Ultra Ball]] for the latter colors.
*Pokemon can [[dodge]] or [[parry]] you balls. You can avoid it by touch the ball and hold it or continuously spin it until the Pokemon has performed a dodge or parry, then immediately release the ball.
